Our preschoolers loved Walter's Fruit Ranch. They toured the apple orchard and picked an apple, saw how to make apple cider/applesauce, and picked a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. A little rain didn't dampen their sunshiny faces. During the tractor ride through the orchard, the farmer had the kids yell "low branch" everyone they went under a tree bough. They learned about the king of all apples and how the blossoms are pollinated by the bees and grow into the fruit. They even heard the story of the infamous coyotes that run through the orchard.
